Car has 32 axles, comes with NEM coupler pockets and close coupler mechanism, Schnabel girders and a diecast metal transformer as a load. Load is mounted on the car with side play like the prototype. Many separately applied parts. Center wheel sets on the trucks are spring loaded. Car can also be used "close" coupled without its load. Length over buffers 720mm / 28-3/8"

The largest HO freight car to date from Trix: scale length of 720mm / 28-3/8". Metal goose neck girders, truck bolsters and freight load consisting of a transformer. Many separately applied details Load is mounted on the car with side play just like the prototype. Center wheel sets on the trucks are spring loaded. Car can be used "close" coupled without its load. Car comes in the color scheme when it was placed into service in 1973.

Important information about the operation of this car: This car can be used on curved track with a minimum radius of 360mm / 14-3/16", but we recommend larger radius curves. Due to the overhang of this car's goose neck supports and its load, signals, catenary masts, bridge railings, tunnel portals, etc. must be set out further from the curved track for clearance. The track must be well mounted for the high weight of the car.

Based in the prototype of the Zollverein Coal Mine in Essen built starting in 1929/30. Model: Ears II-V, challenging building kits, about 70-80 hours required to assemble all of the kits. The buildings are constructed as modules, and the individual latticework segments and window elements can be combined in different ways as required. Detailed multi-language instructions for assembling these kits. Total area for the entire group of buildings is about 800 x 650mm / 31-1/2" x 25-9/16". Height of the pit frame: approx. 490mm / 19-5/16".

Part 1

Part 1 of the building kit contains the shaft house, the pit frame and the tub circulation.

Part 2

Part 2 of the building kit contains the two sheds for the hoisting machinery, the conveyor belt hopper tower, two diagonal belt bridges and the coal washing equipment.

This kit when assembled is interesting and impressive to look at from any angle due to its design with several individual buildings. This coking plant can be used with a steel works as well as with a coalmine. The buildings can be arranged in different ways depending on the available space. About 10 hours are required to build this kit. Required space for all of the buildings in the kit is about 700 x 400mm / 278" x 16", depending on how they are arranged. Height of the smoke stack 355mm / 14".
